Heavy duty anti-corrosion paint (coating) refers to a type of anti-corrosion coating that can be applied in relatively harsh corrosive environments compared to conventional anti-corrosion coatings, and has a longer protection period than conventional anti-corrosion coatings. It is often used in special industries, such as ship manufacturing, underwater engineering, marine engineering, energy industry, and other industries with high anti-corrosion requirements.




Heavy anti-corrosion coatings generally have two characteristics:

Epoxy resin paint

Strong adhesion, excellent chemical resistance, corrosion resistance, water resistance, thermal stability, and electrical insulation, widely used in construction, chemical industry, automobiles, ships, electrical insulation, and other fields. Perchloroethylene paint

Chlorinated rubber paint




It has good adhesion, chemical corrosion resistance, fast drying, anti permeability, and flame retardancy. Chlorinated rubber anti-corrosion coatings are widely used in building coatings, chemical anti-corrosion coatings, flame retardant coatings, ship and marine steel structure anti-corrosion coatings, and are listed as two major systems of anti-corrosion coatings in the world today, alongside room temperature curing epoxy resin coatings.




Acrylic paint

Used for various types of transportation vehicles, construction machinery, instruments and equipment, and other surface decoration items, especially suitable for outdoor use.




Fluorocarbon paint




It has excellent anti-corrosion performance - thanks to its excellent chemical inertness, paint film resistance to chemicals such as acid, alkali, salt, and various chemical solvents, providing a protective barrier for the substrate. The paint film is tough, with high surface hardness, impact resistance, buckling resistance, and good wear resistance, demonstrating excellent physical and mechanical properties.




Organic silicon high-temperature resistant paint




Water resistance: No foaming, wrinkling, or peeling after 24 hours.




Special anti-corrosion coating




*Strong corrosion resistance. Capable of withstanding corrosive media such as strong acids, alkalis, strong solvents, salts, petroleum products, and hydrocarbons under high temperature conditions for a long time. The coating has strong adhesion, good resistance to dry wet alternation, good adhesion to the substrate (steel, cement, wood), good wear resistance, impact resistance, and good elasticity.




Compared to conventional anti-corrosion coatings, heavy-duty anti-corrosion coatings are applied in special fields with high technical content and difficulty, involving many aspects of technological progress and product development. It no longer relies excessively on the knowledge and experience of coatings, but more on the knowledge and intersection of multiple disciplines such as electronics, physics, ecology, machinery, instruments, and management. The synthesis of high corrosion resistant resins, the application of effective dispersants and rheological additives, the development of new corrosion resistant and impermeable pigments and fillers, the application of advanced construction tools, construction maintenance techniques, on-site testing techniques, etc., all need to be comprehensively applied to heavy-duty anti-corrosion coatings and coatings.
